October 2010,

I've just returned from a wonderful speaking engagement at the Alpha House Parents association meeting. I spoke to the benefits of yoga and mindfulness for children and read an excerpt from Anh's Anger. Thank you for coming out everyone! What a great crowd! 1) If you have a small child, allow him or her to set the pace of your walk.

2) Challenge yourself to see the world through the eyes of your child.

Book Expo 2010

Posted on May 21, 2010 with 0 comments
Hello Friends,
It is May 27, 2010 and I just returned from the Book Expo in NYC and had a wonderful chance to meet with my Publisher, and Anh's Anger Illustrator, Christiane Kromer. Thank you to all of the librarians and educators who waited in line to receive a signed copy of Anh's Anger. It was so nice to meet you all and I hope that your students and communities enjoy coming to know Anh's Anger. The staff at Parallax, Christiane and myself are all thrilled to announce that Anh's Anger won the 2010 Skipping Stones award in the category of multicultural awareness. As many of you may know, this is my first book and I couldn't be more fulfilled with the response.
We are all looking forward to the October 2011 release of book #2 in the series, entitled, Steps and Stones.  Until then, Be well and be mindful.
Best,
Gail
